The Employee Benefits Paralegal provides compliance and technical support. This individual will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and preparing guidance for various regulatory issues; drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions and related documents; conducting non-discrimination testing; preparing reporting for the IRS and the Department of Labor; and preparing supporting forms and documentation for the proper operation and administration of employee benefit plans. This individual will also be responsible for assisting with ensuring clients are staying apprised of and in compliance with ERISA, PPACA, HIPAA, COBRA and various other State and Federal regulatory and employment matters.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, research, writing, leadership, business and client relationship skills, and will need to possess a high work ethic and be able to work independently with minimal supervision and a high attention to detail. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a minimum of four years of applicable experience is required.
